Have you ever heard of Snapchat Ads? What is Snapchat Ads?

The same problem is being faced by most of the brands in Kochi – increasing Meta CPM, falling organic reach and Gen Z audience who looks down on every beautifully crafted ad. While everyone's jumping on Instagram Reels and Google Performance Max, one platform is subtly getting the best performance in terms of ROI in social advertising.

Snapchat Ads. However, very few individuals are heard discussing it.

Snapchat's attention is under-priced. If you're a business that is looking for growth or digital, knowing why Snapchat is the power may be the one you've yet to find that you might need.

Why do Snapchat ads not get taken seriously in 2026?

Advertisers haven’t even seen one number: Snapchat has more than 850 million monthly active users and more than 75% of those users are between the ages of 13 and 34. Snapchat continues to grow in India where it has more than 200 million users.

Despite all this, ad spending on Snapchat is still a small percentage of that of brands investing in Meta or Google. The result? Lower competition. Lower CPMs. And a less ad weary audience, than Instagram users.

Esight Solutions, the best digital marketing company in Kochi, will let you know this — it's underpriced attention that has the potential to bring the real opportunity. In any case, that's what Snapchat is now.

How Snapchat is Unique from All Other Ad Platforms?

Here are 3 things Snapchat is doing right that separates it from the pack:

Vertical video that can be played in full-screen and with sound. All Snap ads take up the whole of the phone screen. No competition from other feeds, no sidebar and no banner blindness. You'll either be viewed by the user, or you're not — and it's easier to be viewed in Snapchat's native format.

Advertising using AR (augmented reality) and Lens technologies. Augmented reality ads at scale are something that only Snapchat provides to brands.Nothing else similar to Snapchat in the mainstream platform offers brands access to augmented reality ads. The average Snap consumer spends more than 20 seconds engaging with an ad when they view it in a Snap Lens. This is not passive brand contact, it is active brand interaction.

Intent-driven context. The Snapchat app is open to communicate, create and discover – unlike Facebook, where you scroll through political debate, and family photos. They are in a "take it in" state — and so are receptive to advertising.

Which Companies Gain the Most From Snapchat Advertising?

Snapchat isn't a universally applicable answer. However, it is truly potent in the appropriate categories:

• Retail and e-commerce: Before a visitor ever reaches your website, product try-on lenses influence buy intent.

• Education and coaching: A brief film outlining your offer has a high conversion rate among those aged 18 to 28.

• Food and drink: Full-screen settings are ideal for visual-first companies.

• Events and entertainment: Local geographic targeting and time-sensitive offers work incredibly effectively.

• Interiors and real estate: Snapchat ad styles are starting to incorporate AR walkthrough elements.

Snapchat fills a very specific void left by Instagram and YouTube for marketers in Kerala, especially those aiming to attract younger consumers.

Here are some tips on how to create a converting Snapchat ad:

The worst thing brands can do is just take the creatives they made on Instagram and just transfer them to Snapchat.

It doesn't work. Content made by the agency as opposed to native content is always going to lose the top spot on this platform. Go by the following 5-step process:

1. Hook the audience within the first two seconds by moving, texting, or using an unexpected visual.

2. Do not exceed 10 seconds after 10 seconds completion rates will significantly decrese

3. Captions can help amplify your message, even though snapchat is pre-recorded with sound, it's important to add them for a few reasons.

4. There should be only one clear call to action, don't have two at the same time ‘Swipe Up to Explore' or ‘Tap to Shop'

5. Platform energy – shoot vertical, quick cuts, do not over produce – match platform energy

Currently the brands who are winning on Snapchat appear to be genuine Snapchat users, rather than ad agencies.

Why is this the Kochi local brands' opportunity getting lost?

The truthful answer: Most of the digital marketing advisors in the region have not really conducted a serious test on it by themselves. The Snapchat ad platform continues to have a ‘teen platform' connotation – which was true at the time in 2016, but no longer in 2026.

The Bottom Line

Snapchat Ads aren't an alternative to your present approach. They are a "gap filler" – they can help you reach audiences you can't do as well on your other platforms, for less cost per impression than your campaigns. Brands who act on this now before other brands can, will be continuing to build brand awareness in the audience, which over time will provide greater and greater value to the brand.
