Setbin is a subscription-based marketplace connecting wholesalers, retailers, and clients on a single platform to buy and sell products at scale. We were commissioned to design and build this OLX/Flipkart-style e-commerce experience from the ground up — engineering a global search system, subscription-based access model, and integrated order-to-chat workflow that connects buyers directly with product owners.
Introduction
Setbin set out to bring wholesalers, retailers, and everyday buyers onto a single digital marketplace — one where products could be discovered, bought, and sold without the friction of scattered listings or unreliable classifieds.
Without a dedicated platform, this network of wholesalers and retailers had no unified way to reach the clients actively searching for their products.
Challenges & Solutions
Fragmented Buying & Selling
With multiple wholesalers, retailers, and clients all needing to transact in one place, the client needed a platform that could handle global product search at scale, gate access through a subscription model, and still feel as simple and familiar as platforms like OLX or Flipkart.
Subscription-Based Marketplace Architecture
We designed and built a platform where users can search globally across all listed products. When a search returns no exact match, users can still browse and order related listings — ensuring no enquiry goes unanswered. Every order instantly notifies the product owner, who can then continue the conversation directly over WhatsApp, keeping the buying process fast, personal, and subscription-protected.

To maximise transactions across a multi-vendor marketplace, we designed a clear, search-first user path — guiding buyers from discovery to direct conversation with minimal friction.
Subscription-Gated Landing
A clean entry point where wholesalers, retailers, and clients access the platform through a subscription model, ensuring a committed, quality user base.
Global Product Search
A powerful search experience letting users find exact or related products instantly, no matter which wholesaler or retailer listed them.
Smart Discovery Fallback
When an exact match isn't found, users are shown related listings — keeping them engaged instead of leaving empty-handed.
Order & Direct Connect
A simple ordering flow that notifies the product owner instantly, opening a direct WhatsApp conversation to finalize the transaction.
